In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Ladbrook UK recently took part in a charity football match to support Remy’s Foundation, a cause deeply cherished by all of us here at Ladbrook UK and throughout the wider community.
Remy’s Foundation, created in memory of seven-year-old Remy Johnson, has played an important role in raising substantial funds for the Flamingo cardiac intensive care ward at a specialised children’s hospital in London. Through their unwavering dedication, the foundation has reached out to countless families, offering invaluable support to those facing similar challenges.
This annual charity football match took place on Saturday, the 25th of May, at North Walsham Town’s Greens Road ground and brought teams together to honour the memory of Remy Johnson.
A winning match for a meaningful cause
Talk about an exhilarating showdown - Ladbrook UK's team seized victory in a nail-biting match that had everyone on the edge of their seats. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, the game ended in a 5-5 draw, leading to a penalty shootout where Ladbrook UK was triumphant with a 5-4 win. The camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed by all players truly highlighted the power of uniting for a cause close to our hearts.
Beyond the pitch
But the fun didn't stop on the field; Remy’s Game had something for everyone, young and old alike. Street food vendors offered delicious treats, while live music and DJ performances kept the atmosphere lively. Remy’s Game goes beyond just football; it shows the incredible impact of people coming together for a worthy cause.
